PM Imran releases policy statement on his poverty-alleviating Ehsaas programme

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan released the policy statement of his poverty alleviation programme Ehsaas, on Monday
Turning to Twitter, the premier stated: &I am pleased to release my policy statement on #Ehsaas, my precedence poverty reduction programme
with its 4 focus areas and 115 policy actions to reduce inequality, invest in people, and uplift lagging districts.&The policy statement of
the programme, PM Khan has recapped his determinations stating that it comes as part of his vision to create a welfare state
"Ehsaas is about the creation of a ‘welfare state& by countering elite capture and leveraging 21st century toolsmsprint;such as using data
and technology to create summaryion safety nets; promoting financial inclusion and access to digital services; supporting the economic
empowerment of women; focusing on the central role of human capital formation for poverty eradication, economic growth and sustainable
development; and overcoming financial barriers to accessing health and post-momentary education," it states.PM Khan stated that in order to
fulfill the purpose, tools and technology shall be utilized to form summaryion safety nets and to stimulate financial inclusion besides
backing empowerment of women economically
The premier further stated the programme principles center on tapping multi-sectoral collaboration for resolutions to certify joint
federal-provincial leadership and to mainstream the role of the private sector."Ehsaas& poverty reduction strategy is articulated in four
pillars and it currently embodies 115 policy actions, which may be expanded as the process of refer toations on the program, further widens
The four pillars include: addressing elite capture and making the government system work to create equality; safety nets for deprived
segments of the population; jobs and livelihoods; and human capital development," the policy statement reads.He had stated the Ehsaas
programme is for the underprivileged, unemployed farmers, labourers as well as those students from circles of adversity as well as for poor
