Share market update: Telecom shares fall; RCom slumps nearly 5%

NEW DELHI: The SP BSE Telecom index was down in Tuesday's afternoon session with most of its components trading lower. The SP BSE Telecom
index was trading 1.57 per cent down at 1033.78 around 12:03 pm
Shares of Reliance Communications (down 4.82 per cent) , GTL Infrastructure (down 4.31 per cent) , Sterlite Technologies (down 4.21 per
cent) , and Bharti Airtel (down 2.30 per cent) were trading lower. Tejas Networks (down 1.23 per cent) , GTL (down 1.21 per cent) , Vodafone
Idea (down 1.16 per cent) and Tata Communications (down 0.80 per cent) too were trading in the red
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 20.55 points at 11,583.95 while the BSE Sensex was down 52.58 points at 38,647.95
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red
Shares of Reliance Power, Reliance Communications, Vodafone Idea, Indiabulls RE, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, PC Jeweller, DLF, YES Bank, Suzlon
Energy, South Indian Bank, Firstsource Solutions, DHFL, BPCL, Vakrangee , SAIL, PNB and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the
NSE
