NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with gains in Thursday's morning session.
Shares of Punjab National Bank (up 2.83 per cent),
Bank of India (up 2.38 per cent), Union Bank of India (up 1.80 per cent) and Syndicate Bank (up 1.73 per cent) were the top gainers in the
index.
Jammu Kashmir Bank (up 1.65 per cent), Canara Bank (up 1.42 per cent), Allahabad Bank (up 1.28 per cent) and Oriental Bank of
Commerce (up 1.24 per cent) too were trading higher.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 1.15 per cent up at 3091.60 around 10:18 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 31.85 points at 11,780 while the BSE Sensex was up 133.71 points at 39,165.26
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Bank of Baroda, ONGC, SAIL, JSW Steel, SBI, Indian Oil Corp, ICICI Bank and
DLF were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
