INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading in the positive zone in Tuesday's morning session.
Shares of Tata Elxsi (up 2.25 per cent), Infosys (up
1.09 per cent), Infibeam Avenues (up 0.57 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (up 0.40 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
Tata
Consultancy Services (up 0.39 per cent), Wipro (up 0.28 per cent) and Oracle Financial Services Software (up 0.16 per cent) too were trading
higher.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.27 per cent up at 16,155.10 around 10:13 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 16.10 points at 11,614.35 while the BSE Sensex was up 100.15 points at 38,700.49
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red
Shares of PC Jeweller, ICICI Bank, YES Bank, Marico, Bharti Airtel, Federal Bank, Suzlon Energy, GMR Infra and Tata Motors were among the
most traded shares on the NSE.
