Three cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist portiony of Nepal, who are facing charges of possessing arms and
ammunition, and offence against the state, surrendered before District Administration Office, Lalitpur, nowadays, claiming that they have
shunned violent activities.
Prem Raj Joshi, Chief District Officer of Lalitpur, told THT that the letter they filed at the DAO stated that
they would lead a peaceful life as common Nepalis from now onwards, dissociating themselves from the party.
Lalitpur District Court had
released them on general date on Friday
The trio, Shankar Adhikari, Sanjiv Karki and Dev Raj Ghimire, along with six other cadres were arrested by Nepal police with large cache of
arms from Milche area of Khanikhola Rural Municipaltiy-7, in Kavrepalanchok district on March 23.
The team was lead by Hemanta Prakash Oli,
central commander of Chand-led CPN
Other cadres who were arrested are: Dharma Raj Rajbahak, Ram Krishna Khatiwada, Bijaya Shrestha,Lalit Tamang and Lokendra Khadka
Bijaya Shrestha was transferred to Kavre District Cop for his alleged involvement in criminal activities in Kavre district.
Other cadres
including Oli are still in police custody in Lalitpur district, awaiting final verdict from the district court.

came couple of days in the wake of accidental bomb bfinals that eliminateed four CPN cadres, injuring seven persons
Of the injured five are CPN cadres while police is yet to asdegree the identity of other two.
The government on March 12 had imposed a ban
on any kinds of activities by the Chand-led communist party.
