Shares of HCL Technologies (down 2.15 per cent), Tata
Consultancy Services (down 1.83 per cent), Infosys (down 1.03 per cent) and Tata Elxsi (down 0.98 per cent) were the top losers in the
index.
Mindtree (down 0.66 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 0.20 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.17 per cent) and NIIT
Technologies (down 0.16 per cent) too were trading with losses
The Nifty IT index was trading 1.12 per cent down at 16,176.80 around 10:04 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 28.50 points at 12,060.05 while the BSE Sensex was down 73.05 points at 40,194.57
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Bank of Baroda, SAIL, PNB, IDBI Bank, Tata Motors, Manappuram Finance, Ashok Leyland and DLF were among
the most traded securities on the NSE.
