Due to the atmospheric disturbance developing to the Southeast of Sri Lanka, showery condition is likely to enhance over the island
(particularly in the Northern, Eastern, North-Central and Uva provinces) from today
Cloudy skies can be expected over most parts of the island.Showers or thundershowers will occur in Northern, Eastern, North-Central and Uva
provinces.Heavy falls about 100-150 mm can be expected at some places in (particularly in Eastern province and in Polonnaruwa and Mullaitivu
districts and also fairly heavy falls about 100 mm can be expected at some places in the other areas) above areas.Showers or thundershowers
will occur elsewhere in the evening or night.Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and North-central
provinces during the morning.General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary
localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
