Share market update: Bank shares gain; SBI climbs over 3%

NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading in the positive zone in Thursday's morning session. Shares of State Bank of India (up 3.24 per cent) ,
Punjab National Bank (up 2.12 per cent) , IDFC First Bank (up 1.41 per cent) and Bank of Baroda (up 1.15 per cent) were trading with
gains. HDFC Bank (up 1.05 per cent) , Federal Bank (up 0.73 per cent) , ICICI Bank (up 0.40 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.07 per
cent) too were trading higher. The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.65 per cent up at 30,181.85 around 09:49 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 61.50 points at 11,905.60 while the BSE Sensex was up 207.86 points at 40,259.73
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, Tata Motors, BHEL, Bank of Baroda, DLF, PNB and Housing and Urban Development Corporation were
among the most traded shares on the NSE.
