NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading higher in Thursday's morning session.
Shares of Tata Global Beverages (up 5.06 per cent) , United
Breweries (up 1.04 per cent) , United Spirits (up 0.94 per cent) and Procter - Gamble Hygiene - Healthcare (up 0.85 per cent) were trading
with gains.
Britannia Industries (up 0.60 per cent) , Godrej Industries (up 0.58 per cent) , Colgate-Palmolive (India) (up 0.57 per cent)
and Jubilant Foodworks (up 0.49 per cent) too were trading higher
The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.33 per cent up at 32,379.60 around 10:38 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 56.55 points at 11,900.65 while the BSE Sensex was up 204.27 points at 40,256.14
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, Tata Motors, BHEL, PNB, Bank of Baroda, Infosys and Tata Global Beverages were among the most
traded shares on the NSE.
