NEW DELHI: Most of the energy stocks were trading with gains in Friday's morning session.
Shares of Tata Power Company (up 2.16 per cent),
Indian Oil Corporation (up 1.48 per cent), NTPC (up 1.23 per cent), GAIL (India) (up 1.12 per cent) and Oil - Natural Gas Corporation (up
0.68 per cent) were among the top gainers.
HPCL (up 0.43 per cent), Adani Transmissions (up 0.18 per cent), Reliance Industries (up 0.17 per
cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 0.13 per cent) too were in the green
While Power Grid Corporation of India (down 2.92 per cent) was alone in the red around the same time
The Nifty Energy index was trading 0.21 per cent up at 15,737.3 around 10:49 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 51.95 points at 12,232.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 161.18 points at 41,547.58
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indian Oil, Indiabulls Housing, SBI, PFC, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and Adani Gas were
among the most traded shares on the NSE.
