Mumbai: Broking houses are expecting telecom major Bharti Airtel to report a loss of up to Rs 781 crore for the December quarter
The company may see a healthy subscriber addition for the period.
The telco will report its quarterly numbers on Tuesday.
According to
Kotak, Bharti Airtel is likely to post an adjusted loss of Rs 780.8 crore
The brokerage expects 6.5 per cent quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase in India wireless revenue on the back of tariff hikes, and is building
a 6.8 per cent increase in average revenue per user (ARPU) to Rs 139, and believes that Ebitda for the segment will likely be up 14.9 per
year-on-year from $133 million in the corresponding quarter last year due to higher tax outgo.
Motilal Oswal expects Bharti Airtel to post
an adjusted loss of Rs 414.9 crore in the December quarter, while it sees revenues growing 8.3 per cent from a year ago to Rs 21,915.7
crore.
The brokerage expects 20-25 per cent of price increase benefits to accrue in Q3FY20, and projects 70 per cent Ebitda margin on
incremental revenue.
Motilal Oswal analysts expect Bharti India wireless segment revenue to increase 5 per cent QoQ to Rs 11,500
interconnect usage charges (IUC) plans, which should be partially offset by Tata Teleservices subscriber churn.
It estimates Arpu increase
of 4.5 per cent to Rs 134 due to healthy mobile broadband (MBB) subscriber addition in October-November and the price increase in December
network costs, the brokerage added.
Axis Capital expects India wireless revenue rising by 4.1 per cent QoQ led by one-month impact of price
hike taken by the company in December and resumption of mobile services in Jammu - Kashmir
It expects Arpu to be up at Rs 129 compared with Rs 128 in the September quarter.
