seats.Huge crowds, often disregarding Covid SOPs and social distancing norms, have been seen during this campaign for the by-elections and
the government in most cases have either ignored or responded by tokenism by booking minor cases here and there but no concrete action has
been taken.By-elections in the state are now two be held in 28 assembly seats
Elections to three seats have been necessitated owing to the deaths of sitting MLAs
Of the three MLAs who died while in office two belonged to the Congress while one belonged to the BJP.The remaining 25 vacant seats, 22 fell
vacant when the Kamal Nath government was brought down by Jyotiraditya Scindia with assistance from the BJP in March this year.22 MLAs
including six ministers in a dramatic turn of events had quit their membership of the house and joined the BJP to bypass the anti-defection
