Share market update: Smallcaps in sync with Sensex; Jindal Poly Films among the top gainers

NEW DELHI: Smallcaps were trading in line with benchmark Sensex during the first half of Friday's trade. Around 11:45 am, the BSE Smallcap
index was 0.49 per cent up at 16,065, while the BSE Sensex was 0.45 per cent up at 35,734
The NSE Nifty50 was 0.47 per cent up at 10,800. Shares of Tamilnadu Petroproducts (up 17.40 per cent), Genesys International Corporation (up
16.05 per cent), Jindal Poly Films (up 10.29 per cent), Rane Engine Valve (up 8.06 per cent) and Noida Toll Bridge Company (up 7.81 per
cent) were among the top gainers in the smallcap index. On the other hand, Hathway Cable Datacom (down 8.74 per cent), Sri Adhikari
Brothers Television Network (down 8.30 per cent), Shree Rama Newsprint (down 6.55 per cent), Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India
(down 6.26 per cent) and Shemaroo Entertainment (down 5.90 per cent) were among the top losers in the index around that time. Equity markets
were trading in the positive territory on fresh buying in energy, auto, capital goods, metal and oil gas, while US tariffs on Chinese
