Explosion in chemical system: 2 dead, 4 hurt

KAKINADA: Two supervisors-- Kakarla Subrahmanyam (31) of Patavala Town in Tallarevu Mandal and Thotakura Venkata Ramana (37) of Mallavaram
town of Tallarevu Mandal of East Godavari district-- died and 4 employees were injured in an explosion in a pharmaceutical unit.The event
took place at Autonagar in Sarpavaram of Kakinada Rural Mandal on Thursday Afternoon
The four injured-- operators Kudipudi Srinivas, Nammi Simhadri Rao and Regalla Rajkumar and Incharge deputy supervisor Kalaga Satya Saibaba
-- were hurried to a personal hospital.According to sources, raw material for calcium and other medicines, constructed of waste from prawn,
are processed in the system with nitrofurantoin, nitric acid etc.SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi stated that when the process of blending of nitric
acid with other chemicals was on, there was an increase in temperature level

Suddenly, a blast occurred
