Covid vaccine: Jagan Mohan Reddy hints at requiring worldwide tenders

Jagan Mohan directed authorities to explore the possibility of purchasing Covid-19 vaccine by calling for international tenders.He held a
review conference on Covid-19 management and vaccination with ministers and senior authorities at his Camp Workplace here on Monday
Speaking on the occasion, he said that it was the Centre, which was deciding the variety of vaccine dosages to be offered by their producers
and also purchases made by states.Reddy suggested that if Andhra Pradesh could get one crore doses of the vaccine monthly, it might finish
vaccination of all individuals in 6 months
The truth was that the state was getting just 19 lakh doses on a typical per month
He underscored the requirement for purchasing the dosages after requiring international tenders.The Chief Minister criticised political
leaders who were trying to spread worry amongst the people with false information campaigns
He asked authorities to explain the realities to people
He urged authorities to make sure that there is no rush at Covid vaccination centres by notifying them clearly through ANMs and Asha workers
about who would get the dose and when
He advised them to provide priority to the second dosage for people aged above 45 years
He said there should be no compromise on supply of medication kits to Covid clients staying at home seclusion within 3 hours of getting info

He sought an action plan for setting up PSA oxygen plants and stated that out of 590 metric tonnes of medical oxygen that has been allotted,
they could draw 571 MT only on May 8
He stated that they had asked the Centre to allocate 10 ISO cryogenic tankers and added that officials were making efforts to get more
allocation of medical oxygen from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka
The officials informed that if they could get 60 MT of medical oxygen from Tamil Nadu and 130 MT from Karnataka, it would assist meet the
state's fundamental requirements
