Retail inflation rises to 4.91% in November 2021 from 4.48% in October, reveals government information

cereals and milk products.Even food inflation increased to 1.87 per cent in November 2021 from 0.85 percent recorded in October 2021
Earlier, the consumer cost index (CPI) based inflation had increased to 4.48 percent in October 2021 from 4.35 percent in September, and at
that time too the rise was moved by higher food and fuel prices.Compared to November 2020 levels though, both retail and food inflation are
substantially down as throughout the corresponding duration of last year, the figures were 6.93 per cent and 9.50 percent
respectively.Overall, apart from rates of fruits and vegetables, there was an obvious rise in rates of clothes and footwear, household
products and services, entertainment and amusement in addition to education during November 2021
The most substantial increase was seen in the index of veggies, which rose from 185.3 in October 2021 to 199.1 in November 2021, according
