Share market upgrade: Check out the most active stocks of Thursday's session

NEW DELHI: GMR Infrastructure emerged as the most traded stock on NSE on Thursday. By the end of the day, over 7.68 crore shares of the
company had changed hands. Adani Power (number of shares traded: 7.12 crore), Jaiprakash Associates (4.07 crore) and Suzlon Energy (4.02
crore) were up next in the league of most traded stocks on NSE. On the other hand, Reliance Industries (Rs 2,604.50 crore) led the pack of
most active stocks in value terms on NSE. It was followed by, Tata Consultancy Services (Rs 1,365.30 crore), Infosys (Rs 862.18 crore), YES
Bank (Rs 678.54 crore) and HDFC (Rs 549.00 crore). Equity benchmarks Sensex scaled all-time high of 36,699.53 and Nifty50 topped the
psychologically important level of 11,000 on Thursday owing to buying in oil gas, bank, financial and FMCG amid firm Asian cues
Optimism around healthy corporate earnings, a fall in the global crude oil prices and recovering Indian rupee hemmed up together to keep
the market up. The Sensex closed at a record peak of 36,548, up by 282 points, or 0.78 per cent
As many as 17 stocks remained in the green in the index, compared with 14 stocks that settled in the red. The Nifty finished day's trading
at 11,023, up by 75 points, or 0.68 per cent, with 28 stocks advancing and 22 stocks declining. Reliance Industries, BPCL, Bajaj Finance,
Wipro and Bajaj Finserv finished Thursday's session as the top gainers in the Nifty index.
