support armed groups working against the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA).Shorter met with the acting minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, in
Doha on Friday, Afghanistan&s foreign ministry officials confirmed.According to the foreign ministry, Shorter stated the UK would continue
to support Afghan farmers and said they were working on a joint project in cooperation with the World Bank in this respect.Muttaqi in turn
emphasized the need for positive relations and called the recent spate of bombings targeting civilians a sign of enmity against Afghans.The
