INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) on Monday launched a program which will see ministries report their accomplishments to the public
on an annual basis.Economic ministry officials said on the first day of reporting that a large number of investors returned to Afghanistan
in the past year and have invested in various sectors. The majority of the investors returned to the country and we worked hard to attract
investment and inaugurated several major projects within a short span of time,& said Abdul Latif Nazari, deputy minister of economy. He said
that the ministry is implementing a strategic plan to attract foreign assistance for incomplete developmental projects. The incomplete
projects should be completed, otherwise they would disappear
We should resume them, otherwise we have to begin from scratch
Those major projects which cannot be executed now have already been identified,& Nazari said.Meanwhile, Abdul Rahman Mohib, a spokesman for
the Ministry of Economy, said that they had shared their plan for the development of industries, agriculture, trade, infrastructure and
energy with the relevant authorities. The ministry also said that there were 1,000 projects worth $926 million for implementation by
