NEW DELHI: Wipro on Friday reported a 5.16 per cent year-on-year (YoY) drop in standalone net profit at Rs 1,922.20 crore for the June
quarter.
The IT firm reported Rs 2,026.80 crore profit in the year ago quarter.
Standalone revenue for the quarter rose to Rs 12,157.20
crore from Rs 11,791.40 crore in the year-ago quarter.
During the three months ended June 30, the company concluded the divestment of its
hosted data center business in Singapore and United Kingdom
The transfer of certain India data center assets and employees are conditional upon obtaining regulatory approval which is expected to be
completed by September 30, the IT firm said.
On consolidated basis, revenue for the quarter came in at Rs 13,977 crore compared with ET Now
poll estimate of Rs 14,090 crore
The company had a clocked consolidated revenue of Rs 13,626.10 crore in the year-ago quarter
Consolidated profit for the quarter ended June 30 stood at Rs 2,093.80 crore, which was higher than ET Now poll estimate of Rs 1,962 crore
Consolidated profit stood at Rs 2,082.60 crore in the year-ago quarter
Consolidated IT services revenue for the quarter at Rs 13,700 crore beat ET Now poll estimate of Rs 13,680 crore.
The IT firm said it
expects Q2 services revenue growth in range of $2,009-2,049 million, a growth of 0.3 per cent -2.3 per cent on sequential basis
EBIT for the quarter at Rs 2,396.80 crore beat ET Now estimate of Rs 2,134 crore
EBIT margin came in at 17.5 per cent against ET Now poll of 15.6 per cent.
