NEW DELHI: IT major Wipro on Friday signed a deal with Alight Solutions to acquire Alight HR Services India Private for $117 million.
Alight
HR Services India Private -- formerly known as Aon HR Services India Private -- is into IT and ITeS services, inter alia, related to human
resource outsourcing, information technology, shared and finance process outsourcing
With 9,000 employees, the company has five offices in India across Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai and Chennai
It reported revenues of Rs 1,132 crore in FY18 and Rs 531 crore in FY17.
As part of a strategic partnership, Wipro will take over Alight HR
Services India, Alight's captive operations in India
This will enable Alight to accelerate investment in consumer-facing technologies and services across its health, wealth and cloud operations
by leveraging Wipro's industry-leading strengths in automation, machine learning and data analytics, the company said in a filing to
BSE.
"Wipro's focus will be to modernise Alight's core technology assets and further automate its operations to enhance the user
experience of Alight's end customers," the company added.
