Go First flight 'forgets' 55 flyers: DGCA sends out show-cause notice

INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
NEW DELHI: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Tuesday provided a program cause notification to Go First (erstwhile GoAir)
its Bengaluru-Delhi flight on January 9 that removed without 55 passengers. All these guests were waiting in the coach at the origin airport
to board the aircraft
After getting the airlines reaction to this lapse, the regulator said: prima facie it emerges Go First stopped working to comply with
(civil air travel rules)
In this case numerous errors such as absence of proper interaction, co-ordination, reconciliation and confirmation have led to an extremely
avoidable scenario and therefore, DGCA has released program cause notice to responsible manager/ primary operation officer of Go First as to
why enforcement action must not be taken against them for dereliction of their regulative commitments
To follow the principles of natural justice, they have been provided two weeks time to submit their reply to DGCA and based on that more
action will be taken, the notification stated.
