[Iraq] - Top JOC, Peshmerga leaders discuss 2023's security coordination

2023-01-18T15:51:24.000000 Z / The deputy leader of Iraqs Joint Operations Command (JOC), Major-General Qais al-Mohammadawi, and the
Peshmerga forces Chief-of-Staff, Issa Ozair, convened a conference in the Iraqi capital city, Baghdad, on Wednesday.According to a readout
provided by JOC, al-Mohammadawi and Ozair consented to sustain the cooperation between the federal and regional forces in order to
collaborate the visions and plans relevant to the security of the areas, counter-terrorism and anti-crime operations, in addition to the
stability of the borders
The two commanders, according to the readout, repeated the dedication to reinforcing joint intelligence action, helping with information
exchange, and establishing a joint strategy for the current year.
