The Department of Meteorology has released a weather condition advisory for thundershowers and severe lightning.Accordingly, thundershowers
accompanied by severe lightning are anticipated in parts of Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and Uva provinces as well as in Ampara
districts during in the afternoon or at night.Meanwhile, momentary localized strong winds are anticipated during thundershowers.The general
public is encouraged to take adequate preventative measures to reduce damages triggered by lightning activity.
