UNGA adopts resolution on Ukraine; India abstains

Nations underlying a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine".The resolution received 141 votes in favor and seven against, while
32 countries, including India, abstained
The resolution emphasized the need to reach a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in Ukraine in accordance with the principles of the UN
Charter
It called for member states and international organizations to support diplomatic efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine and reaffirmed the
commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity within its recognized borders
The resolution also demanded that Russia immediately withdraw all its military forces from Ukraine's territory and urged an end to

The UNGA resolution also called for an end to attacks on critical infrastructure and civilian objects, urged member states to cooperate to
address global impacts of the war, and emphasized that a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in Ukraine should consider these factors.UN
