[Sri Lanka] - World Bank promises continued support for Sri Lanka s advancement reform programme

The World Bank will continue to support Sri Lankas development reforms program, the representatives of the worldwide banks guaranteed
today.They stated that the World Bank would provide technical assistance in the preparing of laws for development policy operations, as well
as work to offer extra assistance and assistance relating to making use of international media and welfare benefits.The delegation including
the Vice President of the South Asian Region of World Bank, Martin Raiser, met President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential
Secretariat today (Feb 28)
The World Bank Development Policy Operational Program was completely examined and the President and World Bank representatives talked about
its progress.Improving financial guidance and credit management, improving tax administration, sovereign-financial sector linkages and
minimizing systemic threats; maintaining stability and self-confidence in the banking sector, restructuring and divestment, lowering policy
