Renowned German climber Luis Stitzinger found dead on Mt Kanchenjunga

KATHMANDU, MAY 30A renowned climber from Germany, who went missing on Mt Kanchenjunga since May 25, has been found
dead above 8,000m, according to expedition organiser."Luis Stitzinger has been found dead at 8,400m and his body is being brought to lower
camps," Mingma Sherpa, chairman at Seven Summit Treks, said.Luis went out of contact from around 8,500m after he scaled the world's third
highest peak without using supplemental oxygen on May 25.A team of five Sherpa climbers involved in a search and rescue mission have now
arrived at around 7,400m bringing Luis's body to the lower camp, he said
Luis along with Adrian Laza, Vadim Pirmin Druelle, Vibeke Andrea Sefland, He Jing, Waldemar Kowalewski, Flower Waganku Wayta, Pemba Sherpa,
Nuri Sherpa, Chhepal Sherpa, Chhiring Bhote and Ang Tenji Sherpa stood atop the mountain on May 25

Luis reportedly had a plan to ski down the mountain this season, sources added
Luis skied down Gasherbrum II at 8,035m, Nanga Parbat at 8,125m, Broad Peak at 8,051m, K2 at 8,611m, Manaslu at 8,163m, Shisha Pangma at
8,027m and the north face of Pik Lenin at 7,134m among others.
