BJYM's march turns violent in Kerala & s Panangad, 37 booked

KOCHI: Police on Monday registered a case against 37 people after a protest march led by activists of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha
doctors who were under scrutiny by a magistrate court
The court had initiated proceedings after acknowledging a private complaint that accused the doctors of illegally harvesting the kidneys and
liver of a road accident victim, violating the Transplantation of Human Organs Act.The activists began the protest at around 12
30pm on Monday
They marched towards the hospital but they were blocked by police before they could reach the compound
The activists then entered into an argument with the police officers leading to a scuffle
Police then used force to disperse them.BJYM state president CR Praphulkrishnan inaugurated the protest
"We demand that the government should take this matter seriously and launch a comprehensive enquiry into this organ donation issue
All doctors responsible should be punished," said Vishnu Suresh, state committee member of BJYM.The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad
(ABVP) activists had also taken out a similar march to the hospital two days back.
