NEW DELHI: A man brutally murdered five of his family members with an axe in Gokulpur Arsara village of Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri, on
Saturday.The accused, Shiv Veer Yadav (30), also died by suicide after committing the crime.Police said that the accused also injured his
wife Doli (24) and maternal aunt Sushma (35)
They are hospitalised and undergoing treatment.The deceased have been identified as Shiv Veer's brothers Bhullan Yadav (25) and Sonu Yadav
(21), Sonu's wife Soni (20) and brother-in-law Saurabh (23) as well as friend Deepak (20).The accused was working in a private firm in
Noida."The bodies have been sent for postmortem
Investigation is under way," said Vinod Kumar, SP Mainpuri.Police said that the reason behind the crime is yet to be ascertained.A large
number of police personnel are at the spot and the dead bodies have been sent for postmortem.
