50% less as compared to last year.Abrar Khan, who has been managing the mandi for the last 10 years said that about 2,500 goats and
buffaloes worth about Rs 3 crore were sold in the mandi till Wednesday evening
including from adjoining districts, come to buy animals on the eve of the festival
goats which fetched a high price was Shahrukh, the 300-kg Ajmeri goat that was sold for Rs 6 lakh
Reared by Irfan Agah, the goat was purchased by a Malihabad based businessman
cash in on the popularity of the Bollywood actor
Salman and Ghani goats that have birthmarks resembling Allah in Arabic remained unsold buyers till night
Their seller Mushtaq Ahmad had priced them Rs 51 lakh each
