'Drug addict' smashes 6-yr-old's head, eyes gouged out

He was the only son of engineer Yogendra Yadav, who looks after mobile tower installations for a Rampur firm.On Saturday, Yogendra had taken
a day off from work
After failing to find his son, he lodged a police complaint in the afternoon and around 5.30pm police found Yug's body.After initial
investigation, police zeroed in on a minor who lives in the same neighbourhood and found him to be a "drug addict".ASP Rampur, Sansaar
Singh, said on Sunday, "Both the murder weapon and the boy's missing clothes have been found
The accused is a school dropout and has confessed to have committed the crime under the influence of drugs
He also said that he killed Yug as he was making fun of him."ASP Singh added: "The accused lives with his mother and had stolen a bicycle
recently to buy drugs
He had also attacked a few people with stones, and his mother had even lodged a complaint against him by calling the 112 police helpline
We have booked him under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence) and will send him to a juvenile
home."Notably, this is the second incident in two months in which a drug addict had committed a brutal murder in Rampur
On May 6, a man had killed his wife with an ice picker by repeatedly stabbing her in the face and neck.
