development.The construction of Tiangong, completed in November 2022, provides additional research opportunities beyond the International
appropriations bill of 2011, which bars NASA from cooperating with China.Nakaya noted that while the ISS prioritizes industrial
applications, Tiangong allows for more basic research, including combustion physics.
