Over 50 travelers caught after waterfall level rises in MP saved

BHOPAL: Police on Monday recovered the body of a 15-year-old boy who got washed away after the water level of a waterfall in Madhya
Pradesh's Raisen district rose suddenly on Sunday evening.More than 50 people who had gone for a picnic at Mahadev Pani, a rain-fed
waterfall in Raisen district close to Bhopal, were trapped after water level suddenly increased.The others who got trapped were rescued as
soon as the water level decreased
The deceased has been identified as Vidhan Sen, a resident of Entkhedi in Bhopal, said police.The Mahadev Pani waterfall is situated at a
distance of around 5km from the main Raisen road
The narrow road between the main road to the picnic spot has several culverts in between
We got information that some tourists were trapped due to the increase in water level of the waterfall
We rushed to the spot, around 25 people were at the main waterfall, and there were several others who were trapped due to the increase in
water level
We rescued them
It was then that the friends of the deceased informed that he was missing
Search operation was started, senior officials also reached the spot, along with SDERF teams
A youth also got washed away, not at the main waterfall but at one of these culverts on the way to the main waterfall where he was taking a
bath with his friends
His body was later found late at night
All the other people were rescued
