Share market upgrade: Capital goods stocks up; Finolex Cables, NBCC among leading gainers

NEW DELHI: Most capital goods stocks were trading in the positive territory in afternoon trade on Tuesday
The BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1.58 per cent up at 17,988 around 12:55 pm
Finolex Cables (up 5.30 per cent) was the top gainer in the capital goods index. Kalpataru Power Transmissions (up 4.61 per cent), NBCC
(India) (up 4.23 per cent), Suzlon Energy (up 3.90 per cent), Dilip Buildcon (up 3.89 per cent), BHEL (up 3.82 per cent) and Elgi Equipments
(up 3.60 per cent) were up next. BEML (up 2.90 per cent), Carborundum Universal (up 2.33 per cent), Schaeffler India (up 2.27 per cent), ABB
India (up 2.19 per cent), Larsen Toubro (up 2.08 per cent), Bharat Electronics (up 1.95 per cent), CG Power and Industrial Solutions (up
1.32 per cent), Thermax (up 1.26 per cent), GE TD India (up 1.02 per cent), V-Guard Industries (up 0.93 per cent), SKF India (up 0.89 per
cent) and Siemens (up 0.74 per cent) too were among the gainers. However, Graphite India (down 3.22 per cent), HEG (down 2.97 per cent),
Havells India (down 1.54 per cent) and Sadbhav Engineering (down 0.71 per cent) were the losers in the index
Gains in Larsen Toubro, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki and Asian Paints were driving the Sensex index up. However, the rise of the equity
barometer was capped by losses in Reliance Industries, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Tata Consultancy Services
Benchmark BSE Sensex was up 54 points at 36,773, while the NSE Nifty50 index was up 28 points at 11,112.
