Footage from the CCTV camera revealed that, despite injuring his leg in the process, Vasant evaded capture and boarded an auto rickshaw in
his bid to escape the scene.Uma Prashanth, the Superintendent of Police in Davanagere, stated that the accused was located and returned to
the same jail within the span of 24 hours.
