NEW DELHI: BHEL on Wednesday reported a near doubling of its net profit at Rs 155.58 crore for the June quarter, which was largely in line
with the Street estimates
This is against Rs 80.82 crore profit the company reported in the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue for the quarter rose 8.12 per
cent YoY to Rs 5,790.08 crore against Rs 5354.82 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Margins for the period under review came in at 4.9 per cent,
up 120 basis points over 3.7 per cent in the same quarter last year.
The company will hold one-hour conference call at 4 pm later in the
day, where Chairman MD Atul Sobti, Director of Finance, Subodh Gupta, and other the management team will talk about the company's June
quarter earnings.
Basic EPS for the company rose to 42 paise in June quarter from 22 paise in the June quarter of last year.
