INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
NEW DELHI: The 21-member campaign committee of the INDIA bloc parties will convene its first meeting on September 12, where leaders will put
their minds together to firm up plans for INDIA bloc's joint rallies and campaign slogans. The committee, sources said, is likely to move
quickly to consolidate the "gains" the grouping believes it has made over the India-Bharat controversy
INDIA bloc leaders, including Rahul Gandhi have described the move as the ruling BJP's "panicked" reaction to the opposition bloc's choice
of an eponymous acronym. In this light, it is likely that the campaign committee, formed after the INDIA partners' Mumbai meeting earlier
this month, will double down on both names, while pressing ahead with the 'Judega Bharat, Jeetega India' slogan, which has been their staple
since the grouping was first announced.Comprising Congress' Gurdeep Singh Sappal, JD(U)'s Sanjay Jha, Shiv Sena's Anil Desai, RJD's Sanjay
Yadav, NCP's P C Chacko, JMM's Champai Soren, SP's Kiranmoy Nanda, CPM's Arun Kumar, CPI's Binoy Viswam, NC's Hasnain Masoodi, RLD's Shahid
Siddiqui and PDP's Mehboob Beg, among others, the committee will also firm up plans for INDIA's future rallies.Sources said the first of
these rallies is likely to be held in poll-bound MP's Bhopal, after the special session of Parliament from September 18-22 and is likely to
serve as a platform for the bloc to show its combined strength, coming as it does on the heels of its upbeat performance in the
just-concluded bypolls to seven assembly seats, where they won four against BJP's three seats. At the Mumbai meeting, leaders had resolved to
contest the Lok Sabha polls together as far as possible, organise joint rallies, and initiate seat-sharing arrangement in states
