Vande Bharat from Hyderabad gets here in B'luru ahead of time

BENGALURU: During Thursday's trial run, Vande Bharat Express managed to cover the distance between Hyderabad and Bengaluru in slightly
over seven and a half hours
The two destinations are 610km apart
The train left Kacheguda at 5.30am and reached Yeshwantpur station in Bengaluru around 1.15pm
In the return direction, it departed from Bengaluru around 2pm
Having a composition of eight cars, the train can carry 530 passengers, including 390 in regular coaches, 52 in executive chairs and 88 in
motor cars
Additional divisional railway manager of Bengaluru division Kusuma Hariprasad stated the trial run was successful
The train hit a speed of 110kmph on some of the stretches
On September 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the new service
As per the tentative schedule, the train will leave Kacheguda in Hyderabad at 5.30am and reach Yeshwantpur around 2pm
In the return direction, it will leave Bengaluru at 2.45pm and arrive in Hyderabad around 11.15pm
The train will run at an average speed of 71 kmph
"As per the tentative schedule, it would take 8.5 hours to cover the distance
But the trial run indicates the travel time can be cut further
It's likely to be reduced by at least half an hour once the service gets stabilised
Many trains running between the two destinations take 12 hours
Like the other two Vande Bharat services, this train will also get good patronage
