The 45-year-old IFMGA certified mountain guide (instructor) from Bhotkhola-3, Sankhuwasabha district,
reached atop the world's eighth highest peak on 21 September, 2023 at 10:37 am Nepal time without using supplemental oxygen
Bhote was part of the expedition run by the Seven Summit Treks (SST), a Kathmandu-based trekking and expedition company
He has a large career portfolio, according to Thaneswar Guragai, General Manager at SST.Bhote, an eminent personality in the mountaineering
sector, was one of the first Nepali to acquire an International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA) guide accreditation apart
from being one of the few people to hold certifications from both the New Zealand Mountain Guides Association (NZMGA) and the Nepal National
Mountain Guides Association (NNMGA). Started mountaineering career from 1996, he has so far successfully guided
mountaineers to numerous mountains above 8000m including Everest, Cho Oyu, Shishapangma, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Makalu and Lhotse.A licensed
rescue technician, he was one of the three mountain guides sent by Simrik Air to Zermatt, Switzerland in 1012 for specific Helicopter Rescue

He is also the first RECCO instructor from Nepal.
