Amidst a function in Kathmandu today, President Dr Koh Yong Gon of Yonsei Sarang Hospital and Gambu Sherpa, Chairman of
Khijidemba Rural Municipality, exchanged a memorandum of understanding to provide a well-equipped ambulance to the rural village of
Okhaldhunga district.In the presence of Captain Um Hong Gil, founder of the Um Hong Gil Human Foundation, Dr Koh also announced to support
UHGHF with Rs 20 million for the betterment of educational activities in Nepal. Speaking on the occasion, Korean Ambassador
to Nepal Park Tae Young appreciated Yonsei Sarang Hospital's support and thanked UHGHF for its tireless social services in Nepal
"UHGHF has been playing a significant role in enhancing people to people ties between Nepal and South Korea," the ambassador said.Captain Um
Hong Gil said that UHGHF was delighted to partner with Yonsei Sarang Hospital to serve the needy communities in Nepal
He also shared that it would encourage UHGHF to further expand its philanthropic activities in the field of health and education.Dr Koh said
that his hospital would also like to support and provide medical treatment to Nepali patients who are suffering from knee joint pain
As demanded by the rural municipality, Dr Koh said that he would provide one more ambulance in the next fiscal year.Gambu Sherpa, Chairman
of Khijidemba Rural Municipality, praised Korean support as he termed the ambulance services would help save many lives in rural parts of
the district.The team comprises Um Hong Gil, Koh Yong Gun, Seo Byeong Gyo, Hong Sung Woon, Kim Kyung Tak and Jung Byung Sun is also
scheduled to film a SNS Sunday documentary in titled 'The Promise with the Himalayas'.The UHGHF documentary aims to introduce Nepal's
historical and natural sites and encourage active visits to Nepal."It also promotes the activities done by UHGHF in Nepal to encourage
people to participate more in the coming days," producer Seo Byeong said, adding that it would also promote friendly relations between Nepal
and Korea.UHGHF, founded by Captain Um Hong Gil, has been actively involved in charitable endeavors within the education sector in remote
areas of Nepal since 2009

education for all

honorary citizenship certificate to Um Hong Gil, who has been visiting Nepal for the last 40 years
UHGHF has built at least 17 model schools in 12 districts.
