part of the restructuring of the postal service.

Minister Sharma made this statement during a program organized at the General Post Office in Dillibazaar on the
occasion of World Post Day today.The Communication and Information Technology Minister explained that the country's postal service is
undergoing restructuring to align with the federal system and integrate it with information technology. She emphasized that
while postal services are essential and widely available throughout the country, operating them in a traditional manner is no longer
sufficient
The government's objective is to modernize, enhance reliability, and promote competitiveness within the postal service through comprehensive
reforms.Minister Sharma also expressed the commitment to strengthen collaboration at both the national and international levels to establish
Nepal as an active member state in the global postal network
To achieve this, she mentioned plans to enhance technology, physical infrastructure, and the capabilities of postal service employees while
fostering coordination with relevant stakeholders.Krishna Bahadur Raut, Secretary at the Ministry, reiterated the government's commitment to
ensuring that the postal service becomes more effective, credible, and technologically advanced in response to the changing times.Pradip Raj
Adhikari, Director-General of the Department of Postal Service, expressed eagerness to expedite the timely restructuring of the postal
service, recognizing that traditional methods are no longer sufficient.The occasion also included the honoring of individuals who have made
significant contributions to the postal service and recognition for long-serving employees
