Workplace of Simraungadh Municipality padlocked looking for salary

The agitating employees and teachers locked the main gate saying that they had not been paid their dues for a long
time.A team of teachers and employees led by Uma Shankar Prasad Yadav, the president of the Municipal Teachers' Association, locked the main
gate of the municipality. Yadav said they were forced to padlock the municipality office after their written and verbal
requests for payment were not heeded.The employees had previously submitted memorandum to various authorities, including the District
Administration Office, Bara, seeking resolution of wage-related issues.Municipality Chief Kishori Sah Kalwar said that internal disputes
within Simraungadh Municipality had led to a halt in the functioning of the Municipal Council.Kalwar said that the problem had arisen after
the office chief was suspended after the anti-graft body Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority nabbed him three months
ago.According to the Municipal Chief Kalwar, lack of financial resources is preventing the payment of unnecessary temporary employees
He further noted that the municipality was facing financial crisis and that there was no source of revenue to pay the temporary staff.A
Municipal Council has called for a meeting on October 20
