NEW DELHI: Over 40 stocks, including Biofil Chemicals Pharmaceuticals, DFM Foods, INOX Leisure and Sundaram Finance hit 52-week lows on
NSE, even as market was trading in the higher territory in Friday's session.
However, Bajaj Finserv, Bata India, HDFC, Indiabulls
Ventures, ITC, LT Technology Services and Muthoot Capital Services hit 52-week highs on NSE.
Gains in heavyweights such as Infosys, ITC,
State Bank of India and Bharti Airtel were keeping the equity benchmarks aloft, while firm global cues boosted the sentiment.
Data showed
that foreign institutional investors made sizeable buying on Thursday which further supported sentiment.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 82
points up at 11,249, while the BSE Sensex was up 306 points at 37,291 around 12.30 pm.
In the Nifty index, 34 stocks were advancing, while
Reddy's Laboratories, Grasim Industries and Hindustan Unilever were among the top Nifty losers.
