6-yr-old missing for 2 days found dead in his uncle's box bed

INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
GURGAON: A six-year-old boy missing for two days was found dead with his hands and legs tied inside a box bed at his uncle's house in
Faridabad's NIT colony on Thursday. The boy's uncle - Balram- allegedly lured the six-year-old to his house in the neighbourhood with the
offer of momos
Shivansh was taken to a room on the first floor and allegedly strangled with a scarf. His body was then hidden inside the box bed.Shivansh's
parents alleged that Balram killed the boy to avenge a six-year-old "insult"
The boy's father, Bhanu Pratap, had slapped Balram in 2017 for beating up his wife under the influence of alcohol
Balram was arrested on Thursday evening. On Tuesday, Bhanu Pratap - a daily wager - lodged a missing person's complaint at NIT police station
when Shivansh did not return home even after 7.30pm."He was playing near Balram's house, which is just a few metres away from our building
When I asked him, he claimed that my son had come to his house in the evening but had left long ago
So, I asked around, but no one seemed to have seen him," Bhanu Pratap told TOI.After Bhanu Pratap approached the cops, they put up a post on
social media and attached Shivansh's photo with it
The case was eventually handed over to the crime branch. It was CCTV footage that gave Balram away
"A police team searched the neighbourhood, but did not find the child
Balram's family told us he had left for Delhi - where he worked - but hadn't taken his phone along
When we scanned CCTV footage, we saw the boy entering Balram's house
But he never came out," said Sube Singh, a spokesperson for police
A thorough search was conducted at Balram's house
Shivansh was found dead inside the box bed on the first floor
"His wife told us that Balram worked at a factory in Delhi and visited them once or twice a month
A team was sent to the factory and Balram was arrested," Singh said.Balram, according to police, admitted having lured Shivansh to his house
with the promise of momos
"He quietly took him upstairs
As nobody was there, he strangled the child and hid the body inside the bed," Singh added. The boy's mother, Simran, alleged that Balram
would often beat up his wife because she objected to his drinking habits."In 2017, my husband had slapped him after he assaulted his wife
He would get really abusive after a drink or two
Since then, he stopped talking to us
But he had vowed to take revenge
We never imagined our son would have to pay the price for the animosity between us," she told TOI.Shivansh's body was sent to BK Hospital
for an autopsy
An FIR was registered against Balram under sections 302 (murder) and 326 (kidnapping) of the IPC
