President of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Shammi Silva has revealed more details on the suspension imposed against SLC by the International
Cricket Council (ICC).Speaking at a special press briefing held this afternoon (23 Nov.), Silva clarified that albeit the suspension, Sri
Lanka retains the right to host bilateral cricket tournaments and is also allowed to play both bilateral and ICC tournaments.Silva also
mentioned that payments for Sri Lanka contract players will continue as usual while the suspension is in place.At an earlier press briefing,
serious breach of its obligations as a Member, in particular, the requirement to manage its affairs autonomously and ensure that there is no
government interference in the governance, regulation and/or administration of cricket in Sri Lanka.
