COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore Central all-woman police arrested a badminton coach in a private school on Thursday for asking a girl student to
send her nude photographs to his WhatsApp number
The arrested coach has been identified as D Arun Brun, 28, of Sowripalayam in Coimbatore city.Police sources said he was working as a
temporary badminton coach in a private school on the Avinashi Road for the last six months
Arun asked a 17-year-old girl, a class XI student, to send her photos to his WhatsApp number
The girl sent a normal photograph of her to him
Later, he asked the girl to send her nude photographs to his WhatsApp number
The girl did not send photographs.He allegedly took photographs of the girl while she was changing her dress on the school premises
The girl informed her parents who lodged a complaint with central all-woman police inspector Vadivukarasi on Wednesday evening
The police registered a case against the coach under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the
Information Technology Act.Following the arrest, the school management terminated the service of the badminton coach.According to the
sources, the badminton coach tried to misbehave with five more girls
He asked them to send their pictures to his WhatsApp number
