Two suspects working for Pakistan's ISI arrested by UPATS

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (UPATS) arrested two individuals, Amrit Gill (25) and Riazuddin (36), who are suspected of
collaborating with Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency.UPATS identified the two suspects based on information obtained
during the interrogation of cyber hacker Wasiullah Khan (25), a BTech graduate who was also in contact with ISI and was apprehended in
Lucknow last week.Khan's name surfaced during the interrogation of Shailendra Pratap Singh Chauhan, who was arrested in September 2023 for
allegedly spying for ISI and transmitting sensitive information related to the Indian Army across the border.Special DG, Law and Order,
Prashant Kumar, stated that Gill was apprehended from Bhatinda in Punjab and was brought to Lucknow after obtaining a transit remand
Riazuddin, on the other hand, was summoned from Ghaziabad and arrested at UPATS headquarters in Lucknow.SDG Kumar revealed that Gill was in
direct contact with Pakistani ISI agents and was responsible for passing on sensitive and restricted information related to the Indian Army
to ISI
In exchange for his services, Gill received financial assistance from Pakistani handlers through Riazuddin and Izahrul.Additional DG, ATS,
Mohit Agarwal, stated that an analysis of Riazuddin's bank accounts revealed that approximately Rs 70 lakh had been deposited into one of
his accounts from unknown sources between March 2022 and April 2022 and was subsequently transferred to various other bank accounts."In a
similar vein, auto driver Amrit Gill, who provided information to ISI, also received financial assistance
Gill shared sensitive information about the Indian Army, its tanks, and other weapons with the Pakistani intelligence agency," the officer
stated.UPATS disclosed that Riazuddin and Izahrul met while working as welders in Rajasthan and have since maintained contact and worked for
ISI."The bank accounts operated by the aforementioned individuals and the money they transferred to other bank accounts are being
investigated to identify other individuals associated with ISI and initiate appropriate legal action against them," the ATS ADG
added."Another accused, Izharul, named in the aforementioned case, is currently lodged in Bettiah jail in Bihar
He will be brought to Lucknow by filing Warrant-B for interrogation about the sources of terror funding and other individuals associated
with this network," ATS further added.
