NEW DELHI: A woman is accused of biting off her husband's right ear in a fit of anger in the Sultanpuri area of the outer district in Delhi,
according to the police on Sunday.The 45-year-old victim reported to the police that the upper part of his right ear was severed due to the
bite, leading to the necessity of undergoing surgery
Following the medical treatment, the victim filed a complaint against his wife.An FIR has been registered against the woman under Section
324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and the police are currently conducting further
investigations into the incident.The complainant recounted the incident to the police, stating that the altercation occurred on November 20
when he returned home after disposing of garbage
An argument ensued with his wife over an unspecified issue, during which she demanded the sale of the house and her share, expressing a
desire to live separately with the children.Despite attempts to reason with her, a verbal spat escalated, and the complainant mentioned that
his wife physically attacked him
As he was leaving the house, she grabbed him from behind and bit his right ear with such force that the upper portion became dismembered
The victim's son took him to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mangolpuri, where he was later transferred for surgery at Jaipur Golden Hospital in
Rohini.The police received information about the incident from the hospital on November 20 and subsequently initiated an investigation
Due to the victim's health condition, he initially couldn't provide a statement, but on November 22, he approached the police and submitted
a written complaint, leading to the registration of the FIR
