The woman, police said, has confessed to the crime and claimed she wanted to end the extramarital relationship

His relatives were informed on Saturday and cops examined Alam's personal belongings, including his cellphone
The probe led police to Parul, who lives with her father in Chakdah's Jatrapur
Police said Alam had met Parul on Saturday evening and the duo was seen speaking near a local club close to Madanpur railway station
Parul told cops she had arrived on a bike and shot Alam
Chakdah police station IC Biman Mirdha said, "The accused knows how to drive a bike
According to locals, she also used to take drugs

Lately, she had wanted to end the relationship, but Alam did not and kept pestering her
