18 injured in Tanahun Bus accident

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 17As many as 18 individuals sustained injuries in a bus accident
at Kamal Bari along the Prithvi Highway of Byas Municipality-12 in Tanahun on Sunday morning.

The bus (ga 2 Kha 1459) en route to Pokhara from Muglin lost control and plunged below the road, Deputy Superintendent of
Police (DSP) Mohan Bahadur Khand was quoted as saying in RSS.The bus was attempting to overtake a tipper when the incident occurred, DSP
Khand added. The injured have been identified as Ashima Sahi (10) of Bhanu Municipality-1, Sabita Sunar (21), and Sabina
Suanr (21) of Chambasa in Bhanu-3, and Pradip Godar (30) of Morang Kateri Rural Municipality-2.Similarly, Suran Rai (40), Sumitra Rai (50)
of TemkeMaiyung Rural Municipality-9 of Bhojpur, Pillimaya Thapa (34), and Deepa Thapa (40) of Byas Municipality-2, GyanDevi Shrestha (52),
and Sneha Shrestha (20) of Bandipur Rural Municipality-1, Angel Bhattarai (21) of Byas-2, Purna Bahadur Gurung (41) of Anbukhaireni Rural
Municipality-5.Likewise, Babita Thapa (26), Nabin Thapa (30), Durga Thapa (12), and Nabina Thapa (7) of Bhanu Municipality-1 and Junu
Bhattarai (36) and Purnima Bhattarai (11) of Byas-11.According to the police, ten of the injured are being treated at Damauli Hospital,
while eight have been sent to Manipal Teaching Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
